Kepion provides multiple ways to access details within dashboards and scorecards. Within rows and columns, users drill down into more detailed data, going from more aggregated data to lower-level data. Users use filters in reports, to navigate up and down hierarchies, to view data at more detailed levels or more consolidated levels, depending on the analysis needs of the user. Users also drill through to the source data that is associated with Kepion report data values. In this way, users understand the sources of data values, without needing to leave Kepion and run reports in external systems.

Customers work with Kepion in a variety of ways, ranging from planning solutions to enterprise-wide financial reporting, to corporate data marts serving as the analysis hub for up-to-date and accurate information so that organizations can make decisions and take actions in their day-to-day operations. The Kepion solution includes business intelligence components, which provide reporting, scorecarding and dashboarding capabilities, providing BI capabilities directly in planning processes. Kepion dashboards and scorecards are live reports that are integrated into your Kepion solution, and provide real-time access to your planning or reporting application. This means that any data changes from user inputs, system calculations or data loads are reflected in the dashboards and scorecards in real-time and without needing to redeploy or republish the dashboards. The interfaces are also interactive, in that users drill up, drill down and drill through to data, navigating different levels of detail and to source data and key components that are necessary for your Kepion business processes.

The Kepion platform can serve as a centralized, single version of the truth, containing the key data that is required for your planning, reporting or other business processes.
